Graphic Designer

Got design chops? Okay, fair enough. But are your skills so boss that they stand out in a crowded pool of applicants? If so, keep reading.

 

The IT Communications Office needs a strong graphic designer to help produce interactive, print, and web designs. However, it’s not enough to be a great designer — you also need to love technology (we’re the IT Communications Office, remember?). As a member of our design team, you’ll participate in brainstorming sessions and graphics and web production that advance some of the hottest projects in information technology at IU.

 

The details:

* $12 per hour

* 10 hours per week (Between 9am–5pm)

* Required: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and experience with HTML

* Based at the Cyberinfrastructure Building in Bloomington

 

Applicants: Please include examples of print and web layouts, as well as icon designs.

 

 

Tweeter (student social media engagement)

Likes: Technology, gadgets, social media, and long walks on the beach.

 

Just kidding about that last part. If the rest applies to you, IU’s IT Communications Office needs your help handling student-based social media on your campus.

 

The duties:

* Engaging fellow students about information technology

* Spreading awareness about UITS services and support

* It really is that simple

 

The details:

* $8-10 per hour

* Flexible schedule (5-10 hours per week)

* Required: Knowledge of UITS services and support, active Twitter account, strong sense of humor
