Posted: October 1, 2012 by IUsec in Events, Student groups

“Resonate” – A group for international LBGTQI students.
First call-out meeting:
Day – Tuesday, 2nd October 2012
Time – 7pm to 8:30pm
Place – please email for information on the venue

We at “Resonate” seek to understand and to be understood. To create an atmosphere of
mutual trust and respect for individuals from countries outside the USA who identify as
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, genderqueer, or any of the hues of the rainbow. The
challenges we face as individuals hailing from other cultures and backgrounds are unique
and complicated. “Resonate” aims to create a safe space where one can voice one’s
concerns, find support and verbalize one’s dreams and aspirations without worrying about
being “outed” or judged. If you are feeling alone or alienated in a culture far from your
own, then please consider joining “Resonate”.

Come and see for yourself – you are not alone! Allies are welcome.

“Resonate” is a confidential group that operates within a safe and secure environment.

Resonate meets every first and third Tuesdays at 7pm.

Fall 2012 meeting dates:

October – 2nd and 16th

November – 6th & 20th

December – 4th
