FINA-N 198 Introduction to Photography for Non-Majors (3 cr.) CASE A&H This class is for anyone that wants to make great pictures with their digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera. We will cover basic camera operations, composition, color, lighting, visual communication, and aesthetics with a bit of photo history. We will demystify and explore journalism, commercial, and fine art photography as well as new imaging technology. The class combines lectures, shooting assignments and projects that will take you around the campus. This is not a film and darkroom printing class but is a hands-on opportunity to explore the world of photography. A fully manual digital camera is required.

Contact Kevin O. Mooney at komooney@indiana.edu with questions about your camera and if it is suitable for the course.
