Online & Continuing Education (OCE) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has several high-quality, full-credit online courses available for Spring 2012. We believe this information is of interest to you as someone who works with students. Our courses span many subject areas and are taught by University of Illinois instructors in a variety of formats that will fit your students’ needs. Many of our courses also fulfill general education requirements.

A current list of offerings can be viewed in our online Course Catalog. The self-paced courses are open enrollment courses offered throughout the year, summer included. Students may register at any time during the year and complete the courses in six months. The semester-based courses have definite start and end dates. Registration is now open for the eight-week, online, semester-based courses that begin January 17, 2012.

Students who will find these courses particularly helpful include those who
•    work full-time and need flexibility in their schedule;
•    need General Education credits or coursework to complete a degree;
•    can’t get into a course because it’s full;
•    are looking for professional development;
•    want to take an active role in their education, learn time management, set goals and meet them as they work toward course completion.
