DO YOU LOVE NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC?

 

If so, we have a great opportunity for you!

 

‘Native Spirit’, WFHB Community Radio’s Native American Contemporary Music and News show wants to hear from you.

Native Spirit airs live every Sunday, 10 AM-12 PM.

THIS IS A VOLUNTEER POSITION

 

We are looking for folks who:

 

 – Have knowledge and love of contemporary Native music & news

 

 – Are organized, articulate and dependable

 

 – Have at least 5-hours per month to devote to the show,

   including a scheduled, once monthly 2-hour time slot to DJ/Host the show.

 

 – Have steady internet access

 

 – Are community minded

 

 – Are over 21

 

Native Spirit needs:

 

1) A host for one show a month –

      Hosting a show requires time to coordinate a playlist, research and write news       stories. 

2) Someone to organize cd’s in Native Spirit’s music library, and to create a            comprehensive catalog

3) An editor for electronic interviews –  mostly formatted in Audacity. Editing is         needed on a sporadic, irregular basis.

 

THIS CAN BE AN ALL-IN-ONE, OR 3 SEPARATE POSITIONS

 

More time will be required of you in the beginning, to allow for training.

Candidate(s) requested to attend November 5 “New Volunteer Meeting”.

Twice yearly station fund drives will require your voice.

 

Indigenous, Native American, First Nations, Native Alaskan or those of Hawaiian ancestry are especially encouraged to inquire.
