Korean Proficiency Testing

Proficiency Testing:

If you are already fluent in Korean, or are a native speaker, and want to have your proficiency certified, please click here to fill out the online registration form for the proficiency test. The test is given twice a year – once in fall semester and once in spring semester.

The next scheduled Korean Proficiency Test will be:

Friday, October 28
2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Ballantine Hall, Room 228


– Students must register here to take the test. You will be sent more information on the test when you register.

– All students must bring a photo ID to the test.

Placement testing:

If you wish to take a Korean class at IU in an upcoming semester, the Korean placement test is now available online.

If you have studied Korean before and want to take a class in spring 2012 semester, please click here to register online for the placement test. You will be directed to the online test after you submit the online registration form.
