This is being posted on behalf of researchers at Indiana University Department of Kinesiology.  We are conducting a study to examine physical fitness and health outcomes within the college population.  The data will be utilized to identify health issues and inform future programming and policies.

We need your help in order to describe the health and wellness of the college student population. We are recruiting 800 students (approximately 200 from each year) to participate in physical fitness testing and complete a health survey. You are not required to participate in any activities other than the testing.  Fitness testing, lasting approximately 60 minutes, involves measuring height, weight, body fat, cardiovascular endurance, and strength.  In addition, you will be required to complete a questionnaire that requires approximately 10 minutes of your time.

Benefits of participation:

•     Subjects that complete both the fitness testing session and questionnaire will be included in a random drawing to receive an Apple iPod Nano (8GB, 6th generation).  One name will be randomly chosen for every 40 subjects that complete testing.

•     Receive information regarding your body weight and body composition.

•     Receive information regarding your current fitness status.
