Assistant Account Executive

 Under frequent general supervision from the S.V.P., Account Services or Account Director, coordinates service functions for assigned project accounts in adherence to quality standards.  Responsibilities include assistance in servicing existing business and developing new business within current customers.


  1. Serves as account service contact with assigned clients for all day to day business.
  2. Initiates all schedules for assigned client projects.
  3. Interfaces/communicates, verbally and in writing, with all internal departments to ensure quality project management and adherence to operating systems.
  4. Participates in key client meetings for identifying project objectives, strategies, and promotion/premium tactics to solve client needs.
  5. Communicates verbally and in writing to inform clients and management of key issues and information to deliver quality service.
  6. Assists in planning and preparing content and budgets for client presentations.
  7. Ensures quality service of assigned customers.
  8. Performs related services as required.




Minimum Experience and/or Education – Bachelors in related field and/or 2+ years experience in a marketing related business or agency in a capacity that requires organizational abilities.  Computer and graphic production experience preferred.

Special Skills and/or Desirable Qualifications – Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and deal effectively with clients and support groups.  Detail oriented, self-starter, team player, with good verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.    Excellent telephone skills.  Experience in coordinating projects from start to finish.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Computer Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook.  Familiarity with PowerPoint a plus.

Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute percents and develop and interpret bar graphs. 

Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardize situations.

Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, equipment or controls and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to sit.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision and abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Regular attendance is required.
