Summer 2013 Marketing Multimedia Intern
Get “real life” marketing experience in a fabulously fun setting in a part-time internship that is
flexible and allows you to take classes and/or hold a second job!
The purpose of this position is to provide the student with experience that can be applied to the
intern’s future work in the non- profit or for-profit world. The student will be an integral part of
the Marketing Team along with a student marketing assistant and a student graphic design
assistant. The Marketing Team works with the Marketing Director to maintain WonderLab’s
positive image, help plan and implement marketing strategies to drive general attendance, and
help support specific campaigns to boost revenue in the gift store, membership, and
development areas. The Marketing Multimedia Assistant’s primary responsibility is to create
visual content for WonderLab’s website, social media sites, and print materials. The assistant
produces video content for WonderLab’s You Tube channel, photographs visitors and events, and
maintains image archives. Applicant must have own camera and video equipment, have
experience with digital photography and video production, and be able to meet deadlines.
Telecommunications majors (Jr, Sr) preferred. This position is open for summer, but is filled for
the 2013-2014 academic year.
Compensation
If student is eligible for work-study funding: $8 per hour
If student is not eligible for work-study funding, then the student has the option of making
arrangements with his/her department regarding course credit as an unpaid internship.

YOUR Qualifications
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills as necessary
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent demonstrated writing skills in the English language
Ability to commit to a schedule and meet deadlines
Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word, and social media, especially Facebook
Preference given to Business, Informatics and Journalism majors with marketing and
information process management skills
