Summer 2013 Marketing Multimedia Intern

Get “real life” marketing experience in a fabulously fun setting in a part-time internship that is

flexible and allows you to take classes and/or hold a second job!

The purpose of this position is to provide the student with experience that can be applied to the

intern’s future work in the non- profit or for-profit world. The student will be an integral part of

the Marketing Team along with a student marketing assistant and a student graphic design

assistant. The Marketing Team works with the Marketing Director to maintain WonderLab’s

positive image, help plan and implement marketing strategies to drive general attendance, and

help support specific campaigns to boost revenue in the gift store, membership, and

development areas. The Marketing Multimedia Assistant’s primary responsibility is to create

visual content for WonderLab’s website, social media sites, and print materials. The assistant

produces video content for WonderLab’s You Tube channel, photographs visitors and events, and

maintains image archives. Applicant must have own camera and video equipment, have

experience with digital photography and video production, and be able to meet deadlines.

Telecommunications majors (Jr, Sr) preferred. This position is open for summer, but is filled for

the 2013-2014 academic year.

 

Compensation

If student is eligible for work-study funding: $8 per hour

If student is not eligible for work-study funding, then the student has the option of making

arrangements with his/her department regarding course credit as an unpaid internship.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA FOR UNDERGRADUATES AND GRADUATES

The Columbia Institute for Tele-Information (CITI) is a university research center focusing on management and policy issues in electronic media. CITI was founded in 1983 as the first such center at a major business school. In its 30 years, CITI has published over 65 books on subjects of telecom, TV, cable, internet, and film, with a strong international dimension.
CITI seeks smart, motivated, self-starting individuals to perform research work on the communications, internet and mass media industries. We also seek several interns with good editing and writing skills and encourage their application even where they have no media or tech background.  We also seek individuals with web skills.

 

 

Some of the projects slated for this summer are: a textbook series on media management; research on international media ownership; a project on Cloud-based TV; research for a report on the FCC’s National Broadband Plan and private investments in its implementation; conferences on the digital media consumer and the societal, economic and regulatory impact of broadband.

 

CITI’s summer program consists of five 8 week sessions:

July 22– September 6

 

 

 

Our work week consists of four full days of your choice.  There is some flexibility in the weekly schedules, and starting dates, and each RA is responsible for 32 work days.

WBWB/WHCC Summer Internship Opportunities

It is the responsibility of Artistic Media Partners INC, radio stations WBWB-FM B97 and WHCC-FM Hoosier Country 105, to inform and entertain our community. Every semester AMP takes five to eight interns who posses a good work ethic, integrity, motivation, and respect for other employees, clients, and listeners. As an intern for AMP you will be given extensive training and understanding of the radio industry.

The internship is organized so that all interns get a glimpse into every aspect of the radio stations. The interns are on a rotating schedule of work in sales, promotions, production and web design. Interns get the chance to, among other things, write and record radio commercials, update the station’s website, and attend on-location broadcasts and interact with the community. Interns are asked to devote 10 hours a week to the internship, excluding outside events. This is an unpaid internship and can be used for class credit.

The 2013 Summer AMP Internship Program will run from Monday, May 6

Internship at Tiny Hero Entertainment

We are looking for a few great interns who have a strong interest in editing and graphics.  We’d also love to have interns who are go-getters with a desire to produce.

 

Your internship would involve taking on a variety of different tasks, but this is NOT a coffee errand internship (we have a coffee maker).  Your internship responsibilities will vary depending on what you bring to the table and can range from assistant editorial work to answering the phones.

 

Experience is a huge plus (send us your reels or websites).  A good attitude and eagerness to learn anything and everything is required.

 

Please note, that this internship is for academic credit and career experience.

 

To qualify for this internship you must:

- Be a current college student

- Be able to receive academic credit for the internship

- Be as sharp as a razor and able to turn-on-a-dime in an extremely fast-paced environment!

 

Qualifications: Knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Suite.

 

Interns should have a car.

 

Internship for Fall 2012 begins September and goes until December of 2012.

 

There’s no GPA requirement, but all applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.  Juniors and seniors are more than welcome to apply.  And the internship is unpaid and for college credit only.

 

As far as a due date for the Spring, January 1st, 2013 and for the Summer, May 1st 2013.
